Holiday pictures don’t have to be boring: last chance for Martin Parr at Galerie Paris-Beijing

Bored already by the terrible holiday pictures your friends just háve to share on Facebook? Then I suggest you hurry and visit the Martin Parr exhibition at Galerie Paris-Beijing (Brussels), before it closes its doors. It runs for just another week (until July 27; close to Parvis St. Gilles). The vivid colours and the often funny, ironical images of the influential Magnum photographer will without any doubt put you in a happy summer mood. And don’t forget to look at the building as well, as Paris-Beijing is housed in the wonderful Hotel Winssinger, built in 1894 by legendary Belgian art nouveau architect Victor Horta (renovated for approx. 2,5 million €). Parr is showing work from six of his series and the documentary Hot Spots. Want to know more? You’ll find a faq on Parr’s site, and an interview about the exhibition in Brussels here.
