Last call for lazy Herr Mauroner (and Art Brussels)

You want to visit Art Brussels, on this last day, but you’re too lazy to go to those big Heizel halls? Why don’t you go for a stroll then in that beautiful Egmont Park (just behind the Hilton Hotel)? For the second time Art Brussels is having an outdoor sculpture project too: Art In The City, with some 15 sculptures. On the day I visited the park it was funny to see how a lot of the people in the park couldn’t care less, and were looking rather surprised at those bizarre art lovers who preferred checking out the sculptures instead of  lying in the grass. Not my favorite, but Maarten Vanden Eynde’s Oil peak was voted winner of this year’s competition. For a picture of his work, click here. You can visit the Egmont Park until 10 PM tonight.
