Mick Jagger in Marrakech, Audrey Hepburn in ‘My fair lady’: Sir Cecil Beaton’s legendary portraits

And if you’re going to Knokke-Heist for Tim Walker’s exhibition (see previous post), don’t forget to walk towards the seaside and visit that Cecil Beaton exhibition at the Photofestival‘s pavilion (Rubensplein, through June 13) as well. You’ll discover lots of well-known photos by this legendary British society and fashion photographer (1904-1980), of Maria Callas, Truman Capote, Audrey Hepburn (in My fair lady), Greta Garbo, Mick Jagger (in Marrakech) and Marilyn Monroe. The set-up could have been a bit better (too much text on those walls and too much going on, which makes it harder to focus on those black-and-white photos), but nevertheless: classic stuff.
