About Utopia Parkway

Hans-Maarten Post has been a journalist for over 25 years now.

His articles have been published in the Belgian newspapers Het Nieuwsblad and De Standaard.

His curiosity led him to interviews with artists from a wide variety of backgrounds, such as Jane Birkin, Christian Lacroix, Bono, Hélène Grimaud, Michaël Borremans, Sonny Rollins, Anton Corbijn and Prince. He interviewed choreographer Meg Stuart and her collaborators for Inside The Magic Cave (2016), a short documentary about her performance “Sketches/Notebook”.

Utopia Parkway is the name of the street in Flushing (Queens, NYC) where the American artist Joseph Cornell (1903-1972) used to live. It happens to be also the title of the second album (released in 1999) of the American rockband Fountains Of Wayne.

The one to trust? Do not take that too seriously. But Utopia Parkway certainly is about (contemporary) art, beauty & culture, seen from a Belgian perspective.
