Kate Moss in a veil and other fashion photos by Albert Watson

Did you overdose on contemporary art, recently? Are you craving for some contemporary glam? Just some highly stylized, well-made pictures to look at and nothing more? Then drop by at the new Albert Watson exhibition at Young Gallery (Brussels; close to the Conrad Hotel entrance). You’ll see Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and lots of other models dressed in expensive designer clothes. The highly successful and influential Scottish photographer (blind in one eye since birth) is 67 by now. He has shot lots of advertising campaigns, film posters and covers for magazines such as Vogue, Interview and Rolling Stone. Watson’s picture of Alfred Hitchcock holding a goose has become iconic and he has photographed lots of other famous people, but don’t expect too many of his celebrity pictures in Brussels: Young Gallery is focusing on his fashion photographs, mostly from the eighties and nineties, for UFO (Unified fashion objectives) (through April 30).
